Bargain hunters strike on Wall Street Financial

Tech giant Microsoft won 0.8 percent. US President Donald Trump retweeted a call to boycott Microsoft. This is because the group is currently refusing to provide facial recognition technology to US police.

In addition, the bankrupt car rental company Hertz Global (plus 37 percent) received a lot of interest. Hertz has asked a judge for permission to sell $ 1 billion worth of shares to take advantage of the sharp rise in the stock price. Hertz filed for bankruptcy last month because of the crisis, demand for rental cars had collapsed. The company is restructuring its debts, but is still listed.

The euro was worth $ 1.1256, up from $ 1.1245 earlier today. A barrel of American oil became 0.1 percent more expensive at $ 36.38. Brent oil climbed 0.8 percent in price to $ 38.86.
