Barcelona achieved a difficult victory over its host, Athletic Bilbao, with a goal for nothing, yesterday, Sunday, in the 25th round of the Spanish Football League.
The only goal of the match was scored by Brazilian winger Rafinha (d45 + 1), following a wonderful pass from midfielder Sergio Busquets.
Iñaki Williams scored the equalizer in favor of the hosts (87 d), but the match referee canceled it after resorting to the “mouse” video technique. Athletic Bilbao players were the most dangerous party in the second half, but Ter Stegen’s brilliance prevented goals from being scored.
Barcelona raised its score with this victory to 65 points at the top of the La Liga standings, 9 points away from Real Madrid’s closest pursuers, and Athletic Bilbao remained in 9th place with 33 points.
