FC Barcelona hopes to win the race for Kai Havertz. Because the transfer fee of 100 million euros is priceless for the Catalans, an exchange transaction is apparently supposed to push the price down. As ‘Sport1’ reports, Barça offered the right-back Emerson (here in the FT portrait) at Bayer. Conveniently, the 21-year-old is on the Werkself’s wish list anyway.

According to the TV station, left-back Marc Cucurella (21) or midfielder Carles Aleñá (22) could also be built into the deal. The two youngsters are currently awarded to Getafe or Betis Sevilla and have no future in Barcelona.

In the struggle for Havertz, the Blaugrana must also take out other applicants at the same time. FC Bayern, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United have also kept an eye on the dangerous midfielder.
If it is up to the 20-year-old, he will take the next big step on the career ladder this summer. The corona crisis could, however, mean that Havertz would have to wait another year.
