Seventy-three pages and a dreaded conclusion by the lawyers and the family of the victim: “The weapon was used in accordance with the recommendations and employment procedures in force in the national police. ” A year and a half ago, Zineb Redouane died on an operating table at the Conception Hospital in Marseille. The evening before, the 1er December 2018, “Mama Zina” as she was nicknamed, had received a tear gas canister in the face, fired by the police – on the sidelines of a Marseilles demonstration of “yellow vests” which had ended in violent clashes, near the Old Port – while she was closing the windows of his small apartment, located on the fourth floor of rue des Feuillants, in the city center.
On May 20, in full confinement, the ballistic expert report on the death of this 80-year-old Algerian woman was given to the former Marseille judge who ordered it when she was investigating the investigation. Indeed, almost a year ago today, the case was “disoriented” (in Lyon) at the request of Yassine Bouzrou, the lawyer for Milfet Redouane, the daughter of the victim.
