Education fair in Balingen should take place in September in real life or online Registrations are now possible.
According to a study by the Bertelsmann Foundation, the corona crisis is causing massive uncertainty among young people with regard to their opportunities on the training market. The economic development agency for the Zollernalbkreis (WFG) would like to counter this with the education fair “Visions – Paths after leaving school”.

Even if it is not yet clear whether an on-site trade fair will be feasible in autumn, Silke Leibold, Managing Director of the WFG, and project manager Carina Mayer will open the registration portal for the Visionen education fair in September. You emphasize that the fair will definitely take place – if not in real life, then digitally.
The date was set from Wednesday, September 22 to Saturday, September 25, either as a live trade fair with an accompanying, newly built online platform or, if the situation does not yet permit, as a pure online trade fair with a chat function.
“In order to take today’s pandemic into account, we are focusing on a digital trade fair. The previous job search on the website is currently being replaced by a new portal with a significantly better filter function and presentation of the individual exhibitors. A click dummy video was created for illustration purposes, “emphasizes Silke Leibold. “The platform can be used by the schoolchildren from early summer to prepare for the trade fair and will remain online afterwards. It therefore makes a valuable contribution to the search for professional prospects”, adds Carina Mayer, project manager at the trade fair.
The visions are aimed at pupils from all educational institutions in the Zollernalb district and offer a comprehensive insight into the topic of career choice.

If the live trade fair is not allowed to take place, the exhibitors only pay for online participation, according to the managing director. “As a WFG, we therefore bear the entire financial risk,” said Leibold.
