“Bad luck” for Prince Gabriel: Amalia likes German boys

Amalia is the eldest of three daughters of the Dutch King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima. She will turn eighteen on December 7, which means that the heir apparent can also officially succeed her father as head of state.

On the occasion of that milestone, the Belgian Crown Princess Elisabeth received a ceremony at the royal palace in Brussels “gift”. That doesn’t happen with Amalia. It is, however, central to a book written by comedian Claudia de Breij. The two had different conversations. The precipitation will appear on Tuesday.

For Amalia, the book was not necessary, she says … in the book. “What have I accomplished? You are not Nelson Mandela, that you have eradicated apartheid. Why a book now?”

Love

And it’s also about love. Amalia realizes that she needs the support of the Netherlands. But what if the parliament doesn’t approve “the man who supports me, whom I love, with whom I want to spend my life”? “I can’t choose at the expense of myself. Then I can’t give the best for our country.”

But who will that man be? Last week, Amalia’s name was associated with “our” Prince Gabriel, eldest son of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde. The two contemporaries are said to have a “forbidden relationship”. But nothing points to that.
