back distancing between passengers on board the train

“The extension of the spacing measures on trains and in general on means of transport is an absolutely necessary act of common sense. The health minister did well to mark the distance. Because especially in this phase, with the contagions on the rise, it is not clear how companies with a public profile like those of transport can put profit before general health reasons, it is a scandalous thing “: Francesco Vaia, health director of Spallanzani in Rome, according to which “health cannot be left alone to fight the virus”. In an interview Vaia said his opinion on every form of transport: “Before traveling, in the previous 24 hours, the citizen must undergo tests and be negative. Only in this way will we avoid the circulation of the virus internationally, but above all in Europe, as far as we are concerned. I am thinking of the Eastern European communities, Bulgarian and Romanian, of the thousands of workers who often play a delicate role as a caregiver for our elderly. We must be sure that when they arrive in Italy they are negative, because it is deeply unfair to frustrate with superficial attitudes the effort that we have all made, citizens and health workers. Often these workers escape control, do not participate in screenings, which is why it cannot be just a health issue. It is also a public order problem. The ministers of foreign affairs and health must push for a single protocol to be implemented, at least at European level, for which we cannot embark without a negative buffer. I would apply the criterion to all long-distance transport, airports, stations and ports. This measure requires us to change the infected ”. He also commented on what happened in Berlin, where 15,000 Covid deniers marched: “They are poor wretches like the no vax who, however, do so much harm to society. We must ask politics to put aside the differences for a while and to plan together the rebirth of Italy. We need to get out of the logic of the emergency, the future must be planned in a structural way, precisely in the school, but also in transport. I, who fight against it every day, am not afraid of the virus and invite others not to be afraid, because the country system is much more ready, but be careful, I am terrified of what can happen in September when schools reopen. Let’s think of cities like Rome ”.
