According to a note from the Regional Health Authority, there is the case of a 29-year-old male with a positive test result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus upon arrival in the Region, which, after presenting documentation , was considered recovered from infection by Covid-19 in March, and, after a new screening test for SARS-CoV-2 and having obtained a negative result, he left the Region with his return to origin.
To date, 193 cases of infection with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus have been detected in the Region, with 24 active positive cases currently occurring, all on the island of São Miguel.
