Dhe US singer Beyoncé (39) received her 28th award at the Grammy Awards, setting a new record. She now has more awards than any other female musician in the history of the Grammys, announced the organizers at the gala on Monday night in Los Angeles. So far, the US singer Alison Krauss (49) had held this record with her 27 Grammys.
The 28th award for Beyoncé came in the “Best R&B Performance” category for “Black Parade”. “I’m so honored and excited,” said the singer. It is a “magical night”.
Beyoncé also won the award in the best music video category for “Brown Skin Girl” together with her nine-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Husband and father Jay-Z also got something from the Grammy blessing as a co-producer of “Savage”.
