The reason is, lightning strikes into the field area that is being used for a soccer race or match.
At least 23 people were struck by lightning and three of them died.
The Head of Cilograng Police, Iptu Asep Dikdik said the incident occurred on Monday (17/8/2020) at around 16.30 WIB.
At that time, it rained after a soccer match in celebration August 17th.
Avoiding the rain, the players and spectators then took shelter on the edge of the field where there are pine trees around them.
Until finally lightning struck.
“The lightning struck the pine, and hit a nearby crowd of people taking shelter,” said Asep, when confirmed by telephone, Monday (17/8/2020).
Asep said, there were 23 people who were struck by lightning.
They were then rushed to the Cilograng Community Health Center.

Unfortunately, the three victims of their lives could not be saved.
Three victims died, namely Irpan bin Tata (16), Subadri (50) and Ajid (17).
Currently, there are 20 victims who are still being treated, some of whom were referred to the Palabuhan Ratu Hospital because they suffered serious injuries.
