On Tuesday afternoon, before the Fourth Guarantee Court of Santiago, the hearing to control the detention and formalization of Hernán Calderón Argandoña, accused of having attacked his father a few days ago, is held.
According to the formalization carried out by the Prosecutor Oriente, Omar Mérida, the defendant had incurred four acts constituting a crime.
The persecutor explained that the first event occurred on June 5, when the accused went to his father’s home, extracted a Glock 9 mm pistol and placed it on his chest, at which point he threatened to kill him. The victim told him to shoot, and the defendant fired a shot, the bullet of which was lodged in the bathroom.
The following day, June 6, again at the victim’s home, Calderón Argandoña extracted a penknife with which he damaged punctures, lamps and clothing and also injured his father, which in the opinion of the Public Ministry constitutes the crime of Damages and less serious injuries in the context of Intrafamily Violence.
As a third fact, the persecutor indicated that on August 11, also at his father’s home, the defendant attacked him with a crooked knife, causing injuries to his hand.
Finally, the prosecution affirmed that on August 12 it was found that the defendant had a 9 mm Glock pistol, a 12-gauge Maverick Model 88 shotgun, 384 MagTech 9 mm cartridges, 9 Luger 9 mm cartridges, 2 9 millimeter caliber marker cartridges. Said elements were found at the home of the accused, but they were registered at the home of his father, which according to the Public Ministry constitutes the crime of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
