Atta and Aurel Cancel their Marriage Agreement at Istiqlal Mosque, Police: Not a matter of licensing

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – YouTuber Atta Halilintar and singers Aurel Hermansyah canceled the marriage contract at Istiqlal Mosque on April 3.

However, the marriage contract Atta and Aurelia still will be held on the same date at another mosque.

“I don’t know which area, which is definitely not around Sawah Besar or Central Jakarta,” said the Head of Sawah Besar Police, AKP Maulana Mukarom when contacted by the media crew, Tuesday (23/3/2021).

AKP Maulana also emphasized that the cancellation of the marriage contract at the Istiqlal Mosque was not due to licensing issues.

“Not that, not (about licensing). That may be a consideration on the part of the family, “said Maulana.

Regarding the reasons for the cancellation of the marriage contract at the Istiqlal Mosque, Maulana did not know for sure.

“Wow, if (the reason) asked the bride, okay? I also don’t know the clear information, what is certain is the information we got was that April 3 was not being held at Istiqlal, “said Maulana.

In fact, Maulana said, he just found out about the cancellation information from the committee.

“We were told from the committee, okay? So, yesterday we had a meeting, maybe there was a letter of information received by the Istiqlal committee, now we are given information, “said Maulana again.
