AT&S offers top electronics for the aerospace industry

The Austrian high-tech company AT&S became the highest supplier with the NADCAP accreditation quality standards awarded in the aerospace sector. The NADCAP accreditation (National Aerospace and Defense Contractor Accreditation Program) was created for the collaboration between aircraft manufacturers and companies that use them quality standards meet, develop and be carried out by the independent Performance Review Institute (PRI).

The certification is intended to ensure the standardization of the quality assurance of production and test procedures for aircraft components. The Austrian company and world leader in printed circuit boards is now opening new doors in the aerospace industry.

Connectivity solutions

“We have been providing solutions for different areas of application in aviation, since 2015 also for safety-relevant applications, ”explains Florian Titjung, Quality manager at AT&S. “It starts with controls such as the seat belt sign in the passenger cabin and ends with highly complex applications in the cockpit. ” The AT&S connection solutions, which are also used in engine control, are, so to speak, the heart of the pilot-controlled aircraft control (primary flight control unit). They are used by numerous aircraft manufacturers.

The AT&S CEO Andreas Gerstenmayer is pleased with the award: “The external auditors particularly emphasized AT&S ‘focus on process control, extensive automation in production, the company’s commitment to meet customer requirements and the strive for continuous improvement,” he says. This opens new doors not only in aviation, but also in the direction of space technology.
