Assassin’s Creed Art Director Leaves Ubisoft, Joins Haven Studios

In total, he worked on eight Assassin’s Creed games. “I want to thank our amazing fans and the tremendous talents I’ve worked with over the years, as well as Ubisoft for their trust and the wonderful projects we’ve brought to life together.”

Lacoste joins Haven Studios, the new developer founded by Jade Raymond. She also played an important role in the development of Assassin’s Creed. Haven Studios is partly funded by Sony and their first game is coming to PlayStation consoles. Details are still lacking, but according to a recent rumor the game contains GaaS elements.

Lacoste says he’s excited to work on a new IP with many of the people he once worked with on Assassin’s Creed. Darby McDevitt – the former narrative director of AC Valhalla – and Eric Baptizat – the director of Valhalla – also recently left Ubisoft.
