The scandal of e-mails to emigrants, starring Anna Michele Asimakopoulou, is causing turmoil in the government.
After her withdrawal, the Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior, Michalis Stavrianoudakis, and the Secretary of the Nationalist Party, Nikos Theodoropoulos, were dismissed.
According to leaks from Maximos, Ms. Asimakopoulou obtained the list of emigrants’ personal data at the end of May 2023 and has nothing to do with the postal voting platform.
In fact, Nikos Theodoropoulos, through interventions and re-publications in X, justified Ms. Asimakopoulou’s attitude. It is indicative that he republished (1/3), which said that “you are beating Anna Asimakopoulou for her patriotic stance in the European Parliament with lies and slander. All MPs are entitled to get digital copies of the electoral rolls”.

In a Documento report published two months ago, the dark side of the digital electoral “cosmogony” was highlighted in combination with postal voting.
In the report, it was emphasized that there is great concern among the opposition parties about the state of the electoral rolls and, in general, about the risks that arise, with the terms of the digitization followed by the government.
In fact, it was pointed out that 30-year-old Nikos Theodoropoulos, the secretary of Hellenism Abroad of the ND, appears as a key person in the communication campaign towards the diaspora. He led events abroad, where he also went with Mr. Livanios.

He participated in meetings in place of Bratakos
In fact, N. Theodoropoulos participated in meetings of the special inter-party committee for the foreign vote in May 2023 as an alternate member on behalf of the ND, instead of the regular member Yiannis Bratakos.
And one… important detail: from Brussels – having worked there, according to his statement, in a multinational consulting company dealing with public affairs and then in the European Parliament on behalf of the European People’s Party – he came to Greece in 2018 and joined its communication team ND president and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
