Christmas will be celebrated in a good week – and José Mourinho (58) has his wish list ready.
There are three Bundesliga stars on the AS Roma coach’s list. This is what the Italian “La Gazzetta dello Sport” reports.
As the newspaper reports, “The Special One” is planning reinforcements for two positions in the team of sixth in the Serie A. In midfield and on the right defensive side, new professionals should help to win the Conference League.
The preferred players for the midfield should be the Austrian Florian Grillitsch (26 / TSG Hoffenheim), Giulio Maggiore (23 / Spezia Calcio) and Bayern star Correntin Tolisso (27), reports the “Gazzetta”.
There are also three names on the wish list for the right defender position. With Max Aarons (21 / Norwich City) an Englishman and U21 international is the favorite for the job. Other candidates are the Portuguese Diogo Dalot (22 / Manchester United) and Benjamin Henrichs (24 / RB Leipzig).
However: Before Mourinho can attract new stars to Rome in the winter, the club must first downsize the squad. As the newspaper writes, the Argentine center-back Federico Fazio (34) and right-back Davide Santon (30) are to leave the club prematurely. Both have only played 11 games this season, their contracts expire in the summer.
