Akram Hosni spoke about having more than one talent, in addition to acting, such as composing and writing songs, as he is keen to employ each talent in its appropriate place, saying: “I love to employ the talent that God has given me, in making people happy.”
He said: “I discovered my talent for writing songs by chance. I used to write for family and friends, and for family occasions, such as writing a song for my daughter’s birthday, at my friend’s wedding, and so on. So I decided to employ it professionally, by developing satirical comedy songs.” .
He added: “I started making simulations of songs, after I obtained the rights to exploit the melodies, to write sarcastic words on them, and then after that I started composing the words, to put the melody myself or use a professional composer. I mean, the songwriting industry had developed in me, so I decided to establish a company.” Artistic production, 13 years ago, and for many years it did not produce anything.”
He explained that he decided to enter the world of music production, so that the song “If I Were”, which brought him together with the artist Haifa Wehbe, would be the company’s first production, and it achieved more than 82 million views on YouTube since it was released about two years ago. He revealed the scenes of that project, saying: “I was… I write the idea for myself, and imagine if I were not a human being, what I would be, so I made many assumptions about men and women, and after I finished writing it, I presented it to Haifa, and I was very excited about it, as she has a great sense of humor, and is different and wonderful on the artistic and human level, and she agreed. Regarding the strangeness of the names of his characters in his artistic works, such as “Safar” in his last movie, “Hamada Ain Al-Aql” in the movie “The Suit,” “Ibo” in the series “The Will,” and “Jaljal” in the series “Maktoob Alia,” He said: “These names have a meaning and justification within the events. They do not just carry a kind of humor.”
Adel Imam and Mohamed Salah
During the conversation, Akram Hosni touched on his relationship with the artist Adel Imam, saying: “He has more than one role in my life, and I know his works by heart. He, in a way, influenced my artistic conscience and shaped my artistic culture since my childhood.”
He continued: “One time I received a call from him during the (Abu Hafiza) program, and he kept encouraging me and supporting me in that experience, at a time when I was very sick, and his words motivated me and gave me great energy, and I learned from him a special lesson about commitment.”
He added: “Adel Imam asked me to meet him in the theater, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I was late, and when he saw me, he said to me: The artist means commitment, and this is very important, and the word has remained in my ears since that time.”
He also pointed out that the Egyptian player Mohamed Salah is keen to follow most of his artistic works, the most recent of which was the series “Maktoub Alia”. Akram Hosni spoke about his relationship with his mother, saying: “My mother was a drawing teacher, and I think I took the artistic sense from her, even though I am not good at it, but I have taste, and I can appreciate a beautiful painting, or be impressed by a distinctive piece of music.”
Regarding discovering his talent for acting, he said: “When we used to meet at my grandfather’s house, during my childhood, there was a special segment for comedic segments, and at that time I memorized the script of the play (Watch, Don’t Miss Something), and I would ask my relatives to participate with me in acting, so I would play the lead role. They play secondary roles.
He revealed a difficult situation that he faced at the beginning of his artistic career, which gave him a glimmer of hope, saying: “As many know, I was working in the police at first, but at that time I wanted to enter the world of acting, and to achieve this I decided to enter the Faculty of Mass Communication, so I worked for periods In the evening in the police, I would go to university in the morning, and I would study anytime and anywhere. My first professional experience was through Nojoum FM radio, and from there I moved to television, after which artistic experiences continued.”
He gave advice to young people who aspire to change their field of work and enter the field of acting, saying: “Make sure that you have the talent, because there are some people who lack it and decide to go through the experience, and in doing so they are doing themselves an injustice, because they are walking in a path that has nothing to do with them. If you have the talent, you have to do it.” Believe in yourself, and surely the day will come and you will come to light. The most important thing is that you work hard and do not look around.”

At the end of the interview, Akram Hosni revealed the diet he followed to lose weight recently, explaining that he abstained from eating sugar and starches for a temporary period, before gradually introducing them again into his diet, pointing out that he is a non-athletic person and does not prefer to be in gyms.
