Arsenal loses points, Alphenaar scores for Lazio, red Amrabat

Thanks to Kasper Dolberg, OGC Nice has won the top game against Olympique Lyon. The former Ajax player scored twice. Arsenal has lost points at Burnley for the nineteenth time this season.

Nice – Olympique Lyon 2-1
With the win over Lyon, Nice is taking a giant step on the ranking: from place twelve to place eight. Nice was helped early on, after Fernando Marçal received a direct red card for the downing of Hichem Boudaoui. Ten minutes later Dolberg made his first goal of the match. The striker was there like the chickens to work in the rebound after goalie Ciprian Tatarusanu did not hold a ball: 1-0.

Even before half-time, Lyon came on level with Karl Toko Ekambi, after which Nice also had to continue with ten. Adam Ounas was allowed to leave immediately after a collision with former PSV player Marcelo. Nice managed to attract the match in the second half. After an hour of play, Dolberg made his second goal of the game, giving his team the win.

Burnley – Arsenal 0-0
It doesn’t go smoothly for Arsenal, which for the umpteenth time left points in the Premier League. On a visit to Burnley it became 0-0. Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang had a big chance on behalf of Arsenal, moments later Burnley was also dangerous a few times. The home team got the best chances of winning in the second half.

Arsenal is fighting for a Champions League spot this season, but is only seven points away from relegation places. Next week, Mikel Arteta’s team will play against Newcastle United. Then a meeting with Olympiakos in the Europa League awaits.

Milan – Hellas Verona 1-1
AC Milan failed to win a competition for the first time since 6 January. Hellas Verona, a direct competitor, managed to keep the Milanese at home at 1-1. Davide Faraoni put Verona at 0-1 after thirteen minutes, but Hakan Çalhanoglu quickly made up.

There was no more score in the second half. Sofyan Amrabat did get a direct red card because he went too fast on an opponent. Milan remains in eighth place. Verona has two points less and is ninth.

Lazio – SPAL 5-1
Dutch-Nigerian talent Bobby Adekanye made his first goal for SS Lazio on Saturday. De Alphenaar signed in the game with SPAL for the 5-0. Lazio was already at a 4-0 lead in the break by two goals from Ciro Immobile and two from Felipe Caicedo.

Adekanye made it 5-0 after an hour of play. The attacker (20) has been playing in Italy since last summer. He came over from Liverpool, where he got no further than the promising team of The Reds. Adekanye made the switch from Ajax to FC Barcelona in 2011. He ended up at Liverpool via PSV. That was in 2015.

Lazio – SPAL eventually became 5-1 after Simone Missiroli made an honorary hit.
