Police officers from the La Rochelle police station arrested a 25-year-old man Friday evening, around 8:35 p.m., in the Villeneuve-les-Salines district, in La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime), report this sunday South West.
According to the first elements of the investigation, he walked dressed in black and helmeted, in the street shouting “Allahou akbar”. The police went to the scene, and the threatening man reportedly ran towards them upon seeing them. One of the officers managed to girdle and control him.
Although threatening, he was unarmed. He was hospitalized automatically.
