Capiatá: Prosecutor Carolina Martinez, ordered the opening of criminal proceedings against Napoleón Marco Antonio Acosta Lopez for violating Law N° 4036/10 on firearms.
At around 10:00 a.m. last Thursday, the lawyer identified as Napoleón Marco Antonio Acosta Lopez, armed with a gun, entered the premises of Court N° 1 of Norma Salomon to attend a preliminary hearing. The judge, alerted to the situation by the court clerk, ordered the lawyer’s transfer to the police station responsible for the head of the judiciary, which carried out the initial steps of verifying the person and verifying that the weapon was being carried .
The behavior of the building’s security chief, Edgar Alfredo Sanchez, who after the transfer failed to confiscate the weapon and documents and released the accused without informing the public prosecutor’s office, is currently under investigation.
His gun was confiscated from him in a courthouse in July last year while he was representing an alleged drug lord.
