Argentina announced this Friday that infants between the ages of 3 and 11 will be immunized against Sar Cov-2 with the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, after being approved by the National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (Anmat).

The Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti in a press conference together with the Minister of Education Jaime Perczyk, insisted that “Argentina ends 2021 with its entire population over three years covered and protected. Regarding the Sinopharm vaccines, the Argentine minister said that their use was authorized by the Anmat after conducting phase 1 and 2 clinical trials, with studies in China and the United Arab Emirates.
