The Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti in a press conference together with the Minister of Education Jaime Perczyk, insisted that “Argentina ends 2021 with its entire population over three years covered and protected. We have the stock to start this vaccination and complete the schedules, “said the senior official.

Regarding the Sinopharm vaccines, the Argentine minister said that their use was authorized by the Anmat after conducting phase 1 and 2 clinical trials, with studies in China and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the statements of the head of the educational portfolio Jaime Perczyk during the conference, it is about 6 million girls and boys of that age group who still did not have a vaccine for their immunization.

This will allow completing the inoculation of that age group of the population before the end of the year, since data from the health institution confirm that 48.7 percent of the entire population has already completed their scheme against Covid-19.

Minister Vizzotti specified that the vaccination schedules for children and adolescents will be completed with the drugs Sinopharm and Pfizer, in an interval of 21 to 28 days between the first and second regimen.
