See what values await us

A period of dry, sunny and warm weather is ahead. From Monday to Wednesday, however, our country will remain under the influence of colder air masses, with which it will be windy, and daytime temperatures will remain in the range of 23-28 degrees. In the mountains above 2000 meters, in the cold part of the day, the thermometers will touch values close to zero. Clouds will be mostly light in the afternoon with the potential for light showers here and there in the Northeast on Monday and in isolated places on Wednesday.

From Thursday onwards, the feeling of summer returns. Another warming that has covered the southern half of Europe will also reach the Balkans. Daytime temperatures will again return to levels around and above 30 degrees, with the Danube plain, the Southeast and the valley of the Struma river being the warmest.

Around the holidays, there is a possibility that our country will be affected by an unstable cold front with short-lasting, local afternoon rains with thunderstorms – on Saturday in North-Western Bulgaria, on Sunday – in the eastern regions. The influx of cooler air, however, will not significantly lower daytime temperatures.

The week from June 18 to 24 will be typically summer and hot with mostly sunny weather, no precipitation and high temperatures. If the current forecasts are maintained, in the traditionally warm regions of our country we will measure thermometer values of around 40 degrees.
