Over the past week, reports from Apple analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman have supported the news.

Kuo and Gurman claim that Apple will likely replace the port lightning to USB Type-C on iPhone 15 device, AirPodsand other products.

Reported from 9to5macthe transition from the lightning port to USB Type-C is predicted to occur in 2023.

This means that all AirPods, iPhones, and accessory products like Magic Keyboard, TrackPad, MagSafe Battery, etc. will be supported by the USB Type-C port.

Kuo explained that the transition to USB Type-C was made for faster charging and data transfer capabilities.

Kuo also said that Apple was initially reluctant to use USB Type-C because it was too ambitious.

Apple was previously reported not to want to use a USB Type-C port because they will switch to a wireless charging system (wireless).
