Apple Watch Series 6 likely comes with a larger battery - One More Thing

The current Apple Watch Series 5 is a very nice smartwatch with various useful functionalities. Yet he has one drawback: the battery life remains one thing. With the arrival of the Apple Watch Series 6, there could be (slightly) improvement.

Because recently a new battery surfaced, which gives us the idea that it is just a bit more powerful, so that the Apple Watch Series 6 theoretically lasts a bit longer. But to speak of an earth-shattering difference, that goes a bit too far.

A better battery for the Apple Watch Series 6

The new battery for the Apple Watch Series 6 surfaced at the Korea Testing and Research Institute and was subsequently picked up by someone on Twitter. It is not certain that it is the new battery for the new smartwatch for Apple, but it certainly looks like it. It is a 1.17 Wh battery with a capacity of 303.8 mAh. For comparison, the current Apple Watch Series 5 uses a 296 mAh battery. So it’s a small increase. But at the same time, Apple often succeeds in making its new products a little more energy-efficient, so in theory you are dealing with a longer battery life. The current smartwatch lasts about 18 hours when you actively use it.

The Twitter message indicates that in addition to the battery for the Apple Watch Series 6, it could also be a battery for a new Apple Earpods Charging Case. Bee PocketNow however, they think it is really an improvement for the Apple Watch. That has to do with the model number. It would be a model number A2327. The current battery has the model number A2181 and is visually the same. In addition, the battery is reported in the fitness category, which would suit the Apple Watch.

Hopefully they now come in NL with the 4G version and providers that support. We are so far behind in technology in NL today, compared to many other countries.
