Apple TV + Aggressively Reduces Streaming Quality for Europe

Apple has reduced the quality of Apple TV + streaming in Europe, like Netflix, which first turned off its tap a bit, followed by YouTube and Amazon (for Prime Video). There has been no official communication on the subject, not at the moment anyway, but 9to5Mac noticed a deterioration of the image coming from the streaming service.

Streams distributed by Apple TV + can be limited to 670 pixels high, with strong compression. The result is not particularly flattering to the eye:

We are indeed far from the usual quality served by Apple, which has made it a point of honor to provide the best 4K HDR possible (read: Apple TV + offers the best video quality in streaming). In response to requests from the European Commission, Apple is more aggressive than other services. There may be adjustments and improvements in the coming days.
