Apple is moving iPhone manufacturing from China to India

Apple Inc will manufacture its latest iPhone 14 in India. The tech giant is moving some of its production out of China. This was announced today by Apple, quoted by Prime.

The company unveiled its flagship iPhone 14 at an event earlier this month. At the time, the focus was on safety improvements rather than bright new technical features, with the exception of a new watch aimed at hikers and adventurers.

“The new range of iPhone 14 incorporates these core technologies and important security features. We are delighted that iPhone 14 will be produced in India,” Apple said in a statement.

Who should we choose?

JPMorgan analysts predict that Apple will move about 5% of its iPhone 14 production by the end of 2022 to India, the second largest smartphone market in the world after China.

Therefore, by the end of 2025, Apple could produce one in four iPhones in India, analysts at JPMorgan noted.
