“Apple Discontinues Repair Services for Screens, iPad Air, and More”

Screens and iPad Air are among the latest batch of Apple products that will soon no longer be repairable by authorized service centers.

As of May 31, the list so-called “obsolete” products will accommodate the 27″ LED Cinema Display and Apple Thunderbolt Display (27″ too). Two monitors, precursors of the Studio Display with their webcam, released in 2010 and 2011 respectively. The first was sold for three years and the second four years.

Another retiree, the first generation iPad Air, launched in 2013, with this name which referred to Apple’s ultra portable device which appeared 5 years earlier. The new tablet — cleverly hidden behind a pencil in its first ad — was contemporary to the iPad mini with Retina display and the colorful iPhone 5s and 5c. It was replaced after 3 years by a second generation.

Finally, this list of obsoletes from the end of May includes the 1st and 2nd generation Beats Tour 2.5 headphones.
