Apple announces two new radio stations that can be accessed from Apple Music available in 165 countries. Apple Music Hits, celebrating the best songs of the 80s, 90s and 2000s and Apple Music Country, putting the best songs of the musical genre.

With the launch, too announce than Beats 1 now it will be called Apple Music 1. The station was launched in 2015 and became one of the most listened to around the world.

The radio station is broadcast from different studios of Apple in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville and London, to cover different time zones around the world. When Beats 1 was launched next to Apple Music in 2015 it was one of the largest and most important bets of the company in favor of music curated by humans and away from algorithms.

It appears that, heading into new releases in September and October, Apple is strengthening the brand of Apple Music and gradually moving away from Beats. By making things simpler, they also avoid consumer confusion.
