Bill Gates lets go of Microsoft a little more. The founder of the Windows editor abandoned the napkin ring he had on the company’s board of directors to devote most of his time to his activities as a philanthropist. However, he keeps half a foot in the group since he continues his role as technological advisor to CEO Satya Nadella and senior executives.
It was in 2008 that Bill Gates started sharing his time between Microsoft and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which deals with subjects as diverse as education, health, climate change. Then, in 2014, he left his post as chairman of the board of directors. He will now be free to travel the planet to try to find solutions to the great challenges of humanity!
