JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Polda Metro Jaya detained eight of the hundreds of people who were arrested when they wanted to join the demonstration against the Work Creation Omnibus Law Bill around the DPR / MPR Building, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday (14/8/2020).

The eight people were suspected of being an intruder who wanted to create chaos because they were caught carrying sharp weapons, Molotov cocktails and catapults.

In fact, the police also got a flag anarchist from one of them.

“Indeed, they wanted to riot. There was even an anarcho flag being brought in,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Friday (14/8/2020).

Currently, the police are still investigating the links between the eight people who have been arrested in the middle of a demonstration around the DPR Building.

“We are still investigating the eight people,” he said.

Previously, the police had arrested hundreds of suspected infiltrators who wanted to join the demonstration around the DPR / MPR building.
