The Antwerp local police, with the cooperation of the federal police, have arrested three occupants of a vehicle with a French number plate after a chase that lasted more than twenty minutes. In addition, a warning shot was fired.

A car that was signaled was noticed by an ANPR camera in Antwerp. Then a patrol team gave chase. After realizing that he was being followed by a police car, the driver tried to escape control by fleeing.
The car drove via the highway to the Netherlands and reached speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour. In Stabroek he chose to drive to the port area and back to the city center. Meanwhile, the local police had received support from the federal police. When the car at the Groenendaallaan wanted to run into some officers, a warning shot was fired and the car could be stopped.
The three occupants were arrested and taken to the police station for questioning. They will appear before the investigating judge who will decide on their further arrest during Monday. No information is known about the identity of the three.
