A car entered an optician in Sittard last night. The ram raid happened just before 4:30 am.
It is not known whether the robbers captured anything. They fled after the squat, reports 1Limburg. The police are investigating.
Eyewear stores have been targeted by ram raids more often in recent months. Yesterday a car drove into a glasses store in Zaandam.

“Of course they come to certain glasses and brands,” says the owner of the store in Zaamdam NH News. Last week there was also a ram raid at a branch of his in Amsterdam.
According to the owner, the damage from a squat can quickly amount to tens of thousands of euros. “The facade already costs 30,000 euros. The boys are not in good spirits that they do so much damage for a pair of glasses.”
Ram raids on opticians were also recently committed in Beuningen, Krommenie and Elst.
