Just before 20.30, the police in Trøndelag reported a “very serious” traffic accident on E39. Both cars and a motorcycle were involved in the accident. The police were notified of the accident at 20.19.

– It is a matter of an accident with a motorcycle and two cars involved. A motorcyclist in his 60s died. Those who were in the cars are physically unharmed. The reason is unclear, says operations manager Trond Volden to VG.
The police are now questioning witnesses.

All those involved in the accident were in their 50s and 60s.

Seljord: One charged
In Seljord, a local man in his 70s died after a traffic accident on Wednesday night. A man from Oslo, also in his 70s, is charged in the case.

The police have notified forensic technicians and the Accident Analysis Group of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (UAG) for further investigation.

Three men and one woman involved
– The person who is hardest injured is a man. The other injured are two men and a woman, Trond Egil Groth told VG on Monday afternoon.
– All three drivers are men, the woman was a passenger.

– Good. We have no further details yet. There are life-saving first aid on site, the operations manager replied.

The police are investigating the incident further. The detour will therefore be valid for a long time to come, they state.
