Montreal (Quebec) – NOVEMBER 11, 215 – In a constant effort to reduce its energy footprint, Entreprise Indorama PTA Montreal SEC, formerly CEPSA Chimie Montreal SEC has just put into operation a turbo-alternator unit that reduces the company’s electricity consumption by approximately 2%. Indeed, the turbine generates on average 67kW, from previously unrecovered steam, or the equivalent of the consumption of 2 houses.
“The addition of the turbine allows us to recover steam previously released to the atmosphere, significantly reduce our electricity consumption and even significantly reduce the noise generated by venting excess steam. This completed project allows Entreprise Indorama PTA Montreal, SEC to be more efficient in terms of energy, reduce our transformation costs and maintain our competitiveness on the PTA market ”, said Mr. Michel Douville, General Manager.
