Another explosion in Noord: the facade of the house badly damaged

An explosion took place tonight at a house on the Diopter in Amsterdam-Noord. The front of the house was severely damaged. It’s the second time this week that something exploded in the street. It is still unclear what exactly exploded. No one was injured in either explosion.

The explosion happened just before 9 p.m. tonight in front of a house, a police spokesman said. Someone was in the house at the time, but no one was injured. The fear is there, though.

Police have cordoned off the street and are still investigating the situation. It is not yet clear whether it was a targeted action. According to a witness, it is the same house where an explosion also took place on Friday eveningbut police are not yet saying whether the two explosions can be linked.

After the explosion, a citizen network report was sent. The police are looking for a boy in his early twenties in a black tracksuit. Witnesses who have seen or heard anything are asked to contact the police.

The day before yesterday

Last Friday evening around 10:30 PM, an explosion also took place at a house in the same street. Several homes and parked cars were damaged in the impact. No one was injured in this.
