In the night from Friday to Saturday, another explosion took place at a Polish supermarket in the Beverhof shopping center in Beverwijk. An explosion took place at the same Polish supermarket on Wednesday.
The explosion took place at around 4:30 am. The area has been cordoned off by the police.
“The whole facade has been removed. It is quite intense,” said the police information officer.
A burnt-out car was found a few kilometers away in Velsen-Noord, the police say Noordhollands Dagblad that they suspect it has something to do with the explosion.
In total, four explosions took place in Polish supermarkets at the beginning of this week, two more the same supermarket in Beverwijk.

Shops are called the same but seem to have nothing to do with each other
In the night from Monday to Tuesday, an explosion caused a Polish supermarket in both Heeswijk-Dinther (North Brabant) and Aalsmeer. destroyed. Due to the fire that started, homes that were above the supermarkets had to be evacuated.
The three stores affected are called Biedronka, which means ladybug in Polish. The largest supermarket chain in the Eastern European country is also called that. The Dutch stores seem to have nothing to do with that chain, but only carry the same name.
Owner Mohamad Mahmoed of the stores in Aalsmeer and Beverwijk said he had no ties with the store in Heeswijk-Dinther. There are at least twelve stores in the Netherlands with the name Biedronka.
