In the latest part of the series Mr. Professor, the main representative Vojtěch Dyk will deal with anorexia. The girl who played a character suffering from this insidious disease in the series also struggled with her in real life. Actress Leona Skleničková talked about it for the Aha! Website.

Mr. Professor series broadcasts Nova television and plays the lead role in it Vojtech Dyk (36). It deals with many topics and, in addition to banal ones, also more serious ones. In the upcoming work, a girl Lucie appears, who suffers from anorexia nervosa caused by a lack of self-confidence.

I was pretty skeleton

The representative Lucie herself, played by Leona Skleničková (22), also has personal experience with the insidious disease. „Anorexia started in me when I was about twelve. I wanted to be perfect and the most popular. At about sixteen or seventeen, I was pretty skeleton, but I never reached that physical bottom. But of course I had problems with it, ” revealed Leona Skleničková for Aha!.

Leona adds that anorexia definitely does not only affect girls, but also boys. „Since I’ve been through this, too, I’d like to tell everyone involved that you can get rid of that eternal inner tension of fear of food and self-hating thoughts. Most importantly, you must not underestimate it, because it is not just a weakness or a lack of strong will, but a disease that can be cured. ” she let herself be heard, thus giving hope to all the people who suffer from this disease.
