Annna, a Latvian musician living in the Netherlands, surprises with the latest news

Last week, the Latvian musician Annna, whose real name is Anna Madara Pērkone, who has not been seen here for some time, living in the Netherlands, celebrated with two concerts in Latvia, but now she has news again in the field of recordings.

Annna’s concert in Riga, at the “Tu Jau Zini Kur” institution on the block of Tallinn street, was perhaps not too widely attended, but those who really knew what they were coming to and what they wanted to see and hear had come to it. Madara did not disappoint, and during the approximately one-hour long concert together with his Dutch team, he performed his most popular songs, dressing them up in an extremely attractive performance manner. On the other hand, the singer’s second performance was at the “Summer Sound” festival held in Liepāja – it was, of course, a level (or several) higher.

“This Tuesday I’m releasing something I’m so proud of – the song ‘Tell Me Something’. After two years of working behind the scenes of dance music as a vocalist/songwriter for various record companies, I figured I should finally leave my mark on the dance music floor as well. That’s how Might Delete Later was born and my debut single, which I wrote after I got a voicemail from someone very special in February. This song is inspired by Fred Again… and Jamie XX,” says Anna Madara via email. The new composition will be suitable for nightly dance music clubs nowadays, although it is more listenable than danceable.

But that’s not all! “I’m not going to release this song just like that,” intrigues Madara. “My new DJ project will be exhibited as an art light installation at the Puntspatie art gallery in Amsterdam throughout August. During the exhibition, anyone passing by its window will be able to call Might Delete Later’s phone and leave a voice message (this can also be done on my Instagram account). This special light installation will activate a strand of light every time someone calls Might Delete Later’s cell phone. All these voicemails will be anonymous – I will listen to them myself and choose the ones that I will use in my songs in the future. Anyone can call my Might Delete Later phone number and record anything they can think of!”

It sounds quite impossible and surreal, but Annna has also previously proven in various musical and visual campaigns that nothing is impossible for her, so we just have to wait for the results of this calling event!
