Anna-Greta Leijon was a Member of Parliament 1974–1990, Minister of State 1973–1976 (Minister of Immigration and Equality) and 1982–88 (Minister of the Labor Market and Minister of Justice). She was then, among other things, director of Skansen 1995–2005 and chairman of the board of Moderna museet.
She continued to be politically active, in 2021, for example, she was active in a seminar series on the theme of immigration, segregation and integration arranged by the S association Onsdagsklubben.
– As social democrats, we need to manage two tasks at the same time. Both protect the right to asylum and cope with welfare. This means that there is a lot that needs to be done, she told AiP when she summarized the discussions during the seminars.
