Anker Liberty Air 2 Pro Review: The ultimate cheap noise-can earphone!

Anker’s first noise canceling earphone, which is highly evaluated in Gizmodo US, is now available.

Apple’s high-end headphones for 61,800 yen are on sale, and manufacturers such as Bose are on the world line, following high-end routes, and there was a demand for cheap, high-performance, and fashionable noise-cancelling earphones. Even in Gizmodo, “Cospa Neucan victory earphonesI reviewed it, but this time it’s Gizmodo USJohn BiggsWe will deliver a review by Mr.

“” that appeared from Anker’s audio brand SoundcoreLiberty Air 2 Pros “Is12,980 yenIt comes in white and black (and blue and pink in the US) and a sliding lid charging case for $ 130 ($ 130 in the US). The earphone itself has a maximum playback time of 7 hours (6 hours when using ANC), and it also has a simple touch control. Double tap to play / stop music, advance songs, and press and hold the top of the touchpad. You can switch between noise canceling and external sound capture.

What is this?

Inexpensive and fairly usable noise canceling earphones

Good point

Where the sound quality is solid for the price

Unfortunately

A place with a smooth sound without sharpness of sound

The sound quality is also pretty good.. However, it is not at the same level as high-end earphones. Featuring a flat, nearly single sound, neither edge is well tuned, and bass and treble are acceptable. Noise canceling performance was good in both the (simulated) airplane and outdoor environments.

This earphone comes with 9 different eartips (XXXS / XXS / XS / S / M / M + / L / L + / XL) and I fit it in a slightly larger size than normal. If you don’t fit it tightly in your ears, it won’t work in noisy environments, but if you do, it’s light and very comfortable. The battery life was also greatis. It lasts for 6 hours on a single charge, and the amount of rechargeable battery in the case connected by USB-C is sufficient. I didn’t have to worry about the amount of power left, as long as I kept it in my pocket and used it occasionally for voice calls and listening (music, podcasts, etc.).

I listened to a lot of music on the Liberty Air 2 Pro, and the sound quality was good, from Taylor Swift to Foo Fighters. However, as mentioned above, there is not much difference between bass and treble, and the music comes to the fore, so I wanted a little more separation and depth of sound. However, since active noise canceling can be used, there is no doubt that it is an earphone suitable for subway commuting and walking in the neighborhood.

I also tried the Soundcore app, which can adjust the sound quality of the earphones. You can adjust different frequencies at different volumes. The result was better sound quality than the default settings, but not so much as a dramatic change.

There is a “noise canceling level dial” in the function of this app, and I think that this function can lower a specific frequency, but I did not feel that anything changed when I turned the dial. ..

You don’t have to expect much from the $ 130 earphones in the first place. It’s well made for the price, it fits nicely, and it does noise canceling well.If you’re looking for decent features, decent sound quality, and wallet-friendly, the Liberty Air 2 Pro is worth a look.

Finally

  • Can be a cheap generic for Samsung and Apple “Pro” earphones
  • The fit is comfortable and good
  • The sound quality is good and the noise canceling is great.
