Anies Baswedan’s ‘Change’ Jargon Worries Competitors in 2024 Presidential Election

Jakarta

Candidates for President (Bacapres) Anies Baswedan feels that many are worried about the jargon of ‘change’ in politics towards the 2024 presidential election. NasDem believes that in political contestation anything that is carried out can make competitors worry.

“Yes, it is also called political contestation, whatever ideas and campaigns the contestants carry out, they will definitely worry their competitors,” said the General Treasurer of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Sahroni, when contacted, Saturday (30/9/2023).

Moreover, according to him, the potential for support for Anies in the presidential election. “Moreover, the potential for support is high,” said Sahroni.

Even so, Sahroni believes that whatever is done is good for Indonesia in the future. “But whatever is done is definitely for the good of Indonesia,” he said.

It was previously known that a potential politician for presidential candidate, Anies Baswedan, was carrying the jargon of change for his political campaign towards the 2024 presidential election. He felt that many were worried about the jargon of ‘change’.

Anies conveyed this when delivering his remarks at the Masyumi Party’s 1st National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) at the Oasis Amir Hotel, Senen, Central Jakarta, Saturday (30/9/2023). Anies welcomed the Masyumi Party which wants to be part of the change movement, but has to work extra hard.

“Why do we have to work extra? Because what we bring are aspirations to make changes, and we are almost always worried that these changes will disrupt stability. (Even though) they don’t,” said Anies.

The changes brought by Anies et al are changes in terms of how to achieve goals. So far, Anies feels that the way to achieve this goal is not ideal.

“The change is a change in the method aspect, a change in the approach aspect. But our goal is the same: our goal is a just Indonesia, a prosperous Indonesia, an advanced Indonesia,” said Anies to applause.

He believes that methods or methods that have not been ideal so far must be changed. The method he is referring to is about government governance which he feels has not been good so far.
