Interviewed by L’Equipe, Angers striker Stéphane Bahoken (27, 21 appearances and 4 goals in L1 this season) was asked to name the player he most admires in Ligue 1. The former Strasbourg has a small preference for Parisian Edinson Cavani (33, 14 games and 4 goals in L1 this season) and explains why.
“For everything he has been doing since he was in Ligue 1. In Paris, it has never been easy for him. Each year, he has to prove that he is a good player when we all know that he’s a very good striker. When there was Zlatan (Ibrahimovic), he was playing right and scoring goals. When Zlatan left, he scored goals. This season, even playing less, he still scored (…) He stays straight all the time, he gives his all and it is something to admire. Many players would have shown signs of annoyance or would give up. But he, despite media pressure, he always gives the best of himself “, said the Cameroonian international.
