The president of PASOK-KINAL commented on the resignations of Yannis Bratakos and Stavros Papastavron from the government before the joint meeting of the Political Council and the Parliamentary Group of his party in Harilaou Trikoupi.
“To the looming question of ‘if there is an opposition’, PASOK answered yesterday: Yes, there is an opposition and it brings results when it operates with seriousness and solidity, without communication shows”, stressed Nikos Androulakis and added that with his initiative for a motion of no confidence, “Mr. Mitsotakis lost two of his closest associates, proving that the core of corruption is inside the Maximos Palace”.
He pointed out that the prime minister “did not answer the three questions which led us to the motion of no confidence, which was the last straw in the crime of Tempe”. “I repeat them: Who, at the time when we lost 57 of our fellow human beings, had the priority to take the dialogues in question before the Justice and the Police, to steal them and then give them to a friendly mass media to manipulate public opinion?” he added and noted: “This rogue hand, we must find out who it is.”
Nikos Androulakis announced that on Monday morning he will be at Areopagus “because there must be an investigation, full light, and the Greek people must know the truth. Who are the ones who had the priority that night, to manipulate public opinion. They are dangerous and must be brought to justice.”
When asked by a journalist about the minimum wage, Mr. Androulakis noted that it should have been increased a long time ago. “However, nominal growth does not address accuracy and inequality because, quite simply, inflation is running rampant. So when the minimum wage has increased in recent years by 20% but food inflation by 32%, you understand that we have to fight precision, cartels and those who do not allow through their speculation and greed to escalate prices. The New Democracy is playing pre-election communication games on this top issue as well” pointed out the president of PASOK-KINAL.
