BMW Treshka was first proposed as a hybrid station wagon: a modification of the BMW 330e Touring enters the European market. Previously, only sedans were hybrids, and technically the new station wagon is expected to repeat the four-door with the 330e index that appeared in 2018.
The two-liter gasoline turbo four produces 184 hp, and the electric motor built into the eight-speed “automatic” – another 113 “horses”. The rated output of the power plant – 252 hp and 420 Nm. Although in peak mode, the power for ten seconds can be increased to 292 hp, so the station wagon can accelerate to 100 km / h in just 6.1 seconds. For an extra charge, the xDrive all-wheel drive is available, which increases the acceleration time to “hundreds” by 0.1 s and reduces the maximum speed from 220 to 214 km / h (for a rear-wheel drive sedan, it’s at all 230 km / h).
A lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 12 kW обеспечивает h provides a range of pure electricity up to 55 km (versus 60 km for a 330e sedan), and in this mode, it can accelerate to 140 km / h, after which a gasoline engine is connected. The company claims that fuel consumption is only 1.7 l / 100 km for the WLTP cycle (2.0 l / 100 km for the four-wheel drive version), although in real life, of course, these figures will approach five to six liters per “hundred “.
Unfortunately, the versatility of the station wagon fell victim to profitability. The traction battery is located under the rear sofa, but because of this, it was necessary to place the gas tank above the rear axle, so the boot volume with the second row seats folded down was reduced from 1510 to 1420 liters. But there is consolation: using it is now a little more convenient, because the step between the threshold of the fifth door and the compartment floor has become smaller. Sales of BMW 330e Touring hybrids in Europe will begin in the summer.
