Bekim Balaj from SK Sturm Graz could possibly leave the Styrians for Albania in winter. The striker is said to be in discussion at his training club, KF Vllaznia.
Like the Albanian medium Panorama Sport reports, its president and financier Alban Xhaferi is considering guiding Balaj back home. Initial discussions with the beefy attacker are said to have already taken place. “Yes, we spoke to Balaj in general as we began to speak to many other players in order to work out high-quality approaches for the (transfer) market in January,” Xhaferi is quoted as saying.
It remains to be seen how Sturm and Balaj think of this scenario. The 29-year-old has made 13 appearances under Christian Ilzer so far, but most of them only in the final minutes from the bank. Balaj moved to Sturm in the summer of 2019, where he scored 13 goals in 44 games.
