The explosion occurred around 4:25 a.m. (11:25 a.m.BH) and hit a building on Gessner Road. The explosion was felt for miles, according to the American media ABC13. Smoke and debris were visible in photos circulating online.
The cause of the explosion is not yet known but it caused a fire and a large pile of debris, according to ABC13. Local residents must keep doors and windows closed. At least one injured person was to be deplored.
