MEXICO CITY.
A federal judge released the arrest warrant against Jesús Orta Martínez, former Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC-CDMX) and former Director General of Administration of the Executive Secretariat of the Federal Police, in addition to 17 other people, who are already wanted by agents federal officials, accused of the crime organized crime with the purpose of committing operations with resources of illicit origin and others, whose amount amounts to almost 2,500 million pesos.
Judicial sources confirmed that federal agents went to the home of Jesús Orta, which is located in the Álvaro Obregón mayor’s office, to arrest him, but they did not find him, so he is currently in the capacity of “untraceable”, like Frida Martínez, who was the predecessor of Orta Martínez in the General Directorate of Administration of the Executive Secretariat of the Federal Police.
According to the case file, the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) investigates 19 people as a result of a complaint filed by the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection. The investigation detected a diversion of resources and irregular purchases of patrol cars, aircraft, and spy technology and software at an excess price.
Last Friday night, in an interview with this newspaper, Orta Martínez denied the facts and indicated that he had not received any notification until that day.
“Not at all (I have been notified) or that there is an investigation folder against me and it also seems to me that they are dragging me for having had a position of Secretary General before Frida Martínez. They are telling me that it is a leak from the Attorney General’s Office (of the Republic), because of the profile and because my name is on it, ”he said in an interview with Excelsior.
Orta Martínez maintained that his administration “was completely clean.”
“There, yes, there is absolutely nothing, nor do I have concern, but the media part has more effect than anything else.”
“Is your work auditable and clean?” He was asked.
“Totally and not only that, I would tell you something else, for an arrest warrant that is a criminal case, less”, reiterated Orta Martínez.
