AeroMéxico flight AM30 arrived at Ezeiza airport this Wednesday, minutes before 9:00 p.m., with 326,400 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 produced by the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford.
This shipment is in addition to the one that arrived on Tuesday night, via a LatAm Cargo flight, with 204,000 vaccines from the same laboratory.
This Monday, in addition, Argentina received some 400,000 doses of component 2 de la Sputnik V and it is expected that this week Richmond Laboratories will receive another 500 liters of the antigen, from Moscow, for the local production of more vaccines.
While this Thursday, the Chief of Staff, Santiago Cafiero, and the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, will receive the first Sputnik V vaccines made in the country in the laboratory directed by Marcelo Figueiras.
It involves the release of the first 995,125 component 1 doses and 152,500 component 2 doses.
Vaccination campaign
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, the Argentina received 43,401,930 vaccines, of which 14,768,000 correspond to Sinopharm; 12,468,830 to Sputnik V (9,375,670 from component 1 and 3,093,160 from component 2); 10,471,500 to those of AstraZeneca and Oxford whose active principle was produced in Argentina; 3,500,000 to Moderna; 1,944,000 to AstraZeneca through the WHO COVAX mechanism; 580,000 to AstraZeneca-Covishield and 200,000 to Cansino.
According to the Public Vaccination Monitor, until this Wednesday, 40,696,864 doses of vaccines were distributed throughout the Argentine territory, while 35,680,790 were applied. Of this total, 26,394,220 people were inoculated with the first dose and 9,286,570 have the complete scheme.
