A young actress targeted by an anonymous denunciation on social networks accusing her of sexual assault has just filed a $ 100,000 lawsuit against the woman behind the post, as well as the one who put it online .
“There was no sexual assault, violence, threats, or manipulation during this evening,” proclaims Émilie Lajoie in the civil lawsuit made public Thursday, at the Montreal courthouse.
Mme Lajoie, a graduate of the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal, takes issue with a private Facebook group of 1,571 members, which describes itself as a support group for people in the theater wishing to testify to misconduct suffered in the artistic community.
However, last July, three weeks after singer Safia Nolin publicly accused Mariepier Morin of sexual harassment and physical assault, it was Mr.meLajoie to be denounced on this Facebook group for an alleged sexual assault.
