Amy Winehouse Estate Demands Reparations from Friends Selling Her Items

CelebritiesTwo bras, sunglasses and a lip pencil. According to Mitch Winehouse (73), the father of the deceased Amy Winehouse, two friends of the singer sold her things at an auction. In total, the two women are said to have made a profit of around 3.8 million euros.

Naomi Perry and Catriona Gourlay, the two women in question, claim they only sold items given to them by Amy herself. This concerns about 156 items, including two bras, sunglasses, a lip pencil and body milk. Perry and Gourlay allegedly sold the items for hundreds of euros, according to Amy’s father. Mitch Winehouse, in turn, is now demanding that the women donate around 854,997 euros to the Amy Winehouse Estate, a fund set up in memory of the singer.

Notes and sketches

In addition to some clothing and beauty products, Catriona, with whom Amy is said to have had a relationship in the past, and Naomi, the singer’s former stylist, are also said to have sold an Amy dress. It is said to be the last dress the singer ever wore. The item would have been auctioned for around 234,281 euros. Winehouse’s notes and sketches were also auctioned during the auction in question in 2021.

“We wonder how these items came into their possession. We still haven’t received an answer to this question. To clarify the situation, we have initiated legal proceedings,” the Amy Winehouse Estate said. The two women continue to insist that they received the items. Naomi and Catriona also claim that Amy’s father is exaggerating and that they have already lost part of their profits due to all the legal costs they have incurred. “We are determined to prove these allegations are false.”
